      Know all men .. that I WILLIAM HEAD of county Richmond do own myself to stand justly indebted to JOHN LILLEY of Stafford County the just
      quantity of 20,000 pounds of good sound merchantable Tobo. & cask due to be paid upon demand .. I bind myself .. this 4th day May 1701. Condition is such that whereas JOHN HEAD son of abovenamed William Head hath sold unto John Lilley a certain tract of land being 135 acres formerly granted to ANDREW CHAMBERS of Stafford by the Agents of the Houble MARGARET LADY CULPEPER, THOMAS LORD FAIRFAX and CATHERINE his wife and given by the last will & testament of Andrew Chambers to me the said John Head now whereas John Head hath sold the 134 (sic) acres of land unto John Lilley and is but at the age of 16 that then if John Head do give or cause to be given from under his or their hands and seals a good & authentick deed of sale or such instrument of writing as shall be made to him the said John Lilley a good and sufficient title in the land in fee simple when John Head do arrive to age of 21 .. then this obligation to be void ..

      At a Court held for Stafford County the 10th Sept. 1701 William Head came into Court and acknowledged the bond of JOHN LYLLEY Ordered that same be recorded.

      This Indenture made 2nd and 3rd October 1727 between THOMAS VIVION Gent. and MARY his wife of Sittingbourne Parish King George County and WILLIAM ROBISON Gent. of afsd .. by deeds of lease & release for sum Sixty pounds of Lawful mony of England have sold 134 acres in Parish of St. Pauls county of stafford bounded beginning at a chesnut oak standing in the bottom of a valley by the side of a branch running down to Machotique dam and to Jordan's BRIDGE & so according to several Courses as they are mentioned in certain deed granted by THOMAS LEE Agent for the proprietors of the northern neck to THOMAS PAISE & MARY his wife dated 31st January 1714 said 134 acres was Patented by ANDREW CHAMBERS the 5th Octobr 1695 and devised by the said Chambers Last Will unto JOHN HEAD & by the said Head conveyed to JOHN LILLEY by deed dated 9th April 1706 and the said Lilly dyeing without heir or making any disposition whereof the same land escheated to the Proprietors who by their deed the 31st day of January 1714 granted the same to Thomas Paise & Mary his wife now MARY VIVION party to these presents ..
