      TO ALL TO WHOM these p:sents shall come, I THOMAS POWELL of CURRATOMAN in Lancastr Countie sende Greetinge Nov Know yee all men that I ye saide THOMAS POWELL doe give & grante & by these p:sents have granted for diverse causes mee thereunto moveinge unto my loveinge Godsone, THOMAS WROUGHTON, one cowe colored red marked wth a cropt in both eares & a peece taken out behind of both eares & two slitts in the right eare, To have & to holde the saide Cowe with all her increase for ever for mee my heirs or my assignes unto my sd. Godsone, THO. WROUGHTON, &his Child or Children lawfully begotten by him, the sd. THO: WROUGHTON, & if in case the said THOMAS WROUGHTON dyeinge without issue, the the saide cowe & increase to devolve to the Father of the said Childe; in consideracon thereof w:th warranties from any p:son whatsoever, Witnes my hande this 8th of May 1657
