      Will of John Wilder Wood, Jun 7, 1777.
      I, John Wilder Wood of CC, now going to leave the parts, being well in body and of sound mind, I do make this my will. Firstly, I want my debts paid.
      To my brother William Wood - 2 suits of clothes, "unwearing" apparel, and the rest of my wearing apparel.
      To my goddaughter Elizabeth Smoot, and daughter of John Smoot - 1 young heifer.
      To my cousin Mary Anne Smoot - my chest.
      To my cousin Eleanor Smoot - my desk.
      To my 2 sisters Margaret and Francis Wood - my land is to be sold, and all my estate besides, and the money, to be equally divided between them.
      Executors: my cousin John Brown Wilder and my sister Margaret Wood, Signed Jul 20, 1776 - John Wilder Wood. Wit - William Vincent Jr, John Vincent, John Smoot.

      On Jun 7, 1777, Letters Testamentary were granted on the estate of John Wilder Wood, to Margaret Wood, the executrix thereby appointed, Jno Brown Wilder, who was appointed executor jointly with sd Margaret Wood, having first renounced under his hand. Sd Margaret's bond was taken with her securities, John Wilder and John Shaw. Bond = 300 £Appraisers: Jno Smoot & John Vincent. On Aug 19, the inventory was appraised at 37 £13 shillings 5 pence.
