      Text: Know allmen by these presents, that I Pearce Lamb, of the County of Mason and State of Kentucky, being at present in a weakly state of body, but of sound mind, memory and understanding, knowing that it is appointed once for all men to die, do make and ordain this my last will and testament in manner and form following, to wit:

      First, I leave to my wife Catherine all my property during her natural life, meaning after my lawful debts is paid, which is to be levied out of my property, legacies hereafter excepted.

      Secondly, I leave to my daughter Ruth Stevenson one dollar and also to my daughter Anne Evans one dollar, and also to my daughter Hannah Dye one dollar, and also to my daughter Sariah Krouson one dollar, and also to my daughter Prudence Glover one dollar, all to be paid by my Executors twelve months after my decease.

      Thirdly, I leave to my daughter Caty one feather bed and furniture there unto belonging with a Forty Dollars and if the said Caty should survive her mother, all that is left of my property with any lands, that should be save, to be the Right Title and Estate of my said Daughter Caty her heirs and assigns forever, and if she should decease without issue to devolve on my Grandson Pearce Lamb Krouson, or his heirs and assigns forever.

      Fourthly, I leave to my said Grandson Pearce Lamb Krouson all my surveying instruments to be delivered to him when of age, or his Guardian before that time with all my wearing apparel. Lastly I constitute and appoint William Lamb my brother, and Charles Evans, sole Executors to this my last will and testament, and I do hereby renounce all other will and legacies heretofore made by me.

      In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and seal to this my last will and testament, pronounced and declared this 10th day of November1812.
