20 May 1760. George William Fairfax, Fsqr., of Fairfax County to John Carlyle of same, Gent., and Sarah his wife. For love and affection unto Sarah Carlyle his sister. 1524 acres in the little fork of Rappahannock, the whole tract granted unto George Wm. Fairfax, Esqr., and Sarah Carlyle, son and daughter of William Fairfax, Esqr., of the County aforesaid by patent from the Right Honourable Thomas Lord Fairfax, Baron of Cameron in that part of Great Britain called Scotland, Proprietor of the Northern Neck of Virginia, 24 June 1748 ... heap of stones marked 1C47 to the east course run from James Compton, Esqr. ... Capt. Robert Green's line ... by a branch ... corner to Samuel Scott ... in a branch of Crooked Run corner to Scott and Captain Robert Green... near the main road ... in a small branch ... corner to John Roberts ... to where Roberts' line intersects the east course of the 3000 acres tract.
