Vickers-Mott Connections in northern Virginia 1670s
I suspect that Mary Vickars that married Thomas Newton was the grandaughter of Thomas Vickars Clerk of Old Rappahannock Co. that lived next to John Buckner and d.1690 Glouchester Co. I also suspect that Thomas Vickars d.1690 had a son John that lived next to John Buckner in Stafford Co.

I am trying to research to three documented John and Thomas (Vickers/Vickars/Viccars) connections to my Mott brothers, John and George, who were Planters in Colonial Virginia.
-- In 1674, the orphaned children of George Mott received 9,019 acres on the Rappahnnock RIver for the transport of 180 persons; included in the list of those transported was Jno. Vickers.
-- In his 1675 will, John Mott leaves half of his personal estate and his plantation to his nephew, John Vickers.
-- In 1678, Thomas Vickars (Viccars), Clerk, received 1260 acres in Rappahannock County and the land is listed as adjacent to Mr. Mott's land.
I would be very interested in exchanging information with anyone working this northern Virginia family line.
Kind regards, Lisa

I've found additional information that identifies Nathaniel Vickers as the son of my John Vickers, nephew of John Mott.
Nathaniel Vickers of St Mary's Parish, Essex Co sells to and buys land from Andrew Harrison Jr from Jan - Jun 1713.
