IJAMS, ELIZABETH, Anne Arundel Co. 5 May, 1762; 22 Sep, 1762
My dec'd husband, William Ijams' will: that all effects that I shd. die possessed with, shd. be equally divided between sons, John and Plumer Ijams, and dau. Ann Williams. It is my will that they shd. settle it and dispose of it in the following manner:
That the slaves shd. not be divided between my 3 children until the first day of December, next, but kept on plantation for benefit of son John Ijams, and my provisions to be for the use of the family, some furniture and etc.
To son John Ijams, looking glass.
To dau. Ann Williams, clothing.
To dau.-in-law Ruth Ijams, my side saddle and etc.
Sons John and Plumer Ijams, and dau. Ann Williams, to give son Thomas Ijams, 10 lbs. money.
If any one of the rest of my children shd. have a right to any pt. of estate, I give each of them 1 s. sterl, but I think they have no right by my dec'd. husband's will.

To eld. son Thomas, 100 A., "Seaman's Delight," in Calvert Co.
To eld. dau. Margaret, wife of Hugh Reily, 5 shillings, because of advances already made.
To sec. dau. Mary, wife of William Jackson, and hrs., rights in certain tract of land, and 300 A., "Scott's Lott," in Calvert Co.
To third dau. Susanna, wife of Francis Swanson, personalty.
To wife Eliza:, extx., home plantation, being 164 A., part of "Bridge Hill" and "Doden," during life.
To young. dau. Eliza: and hrs., sd. plantation at death of wife afsd. [p.87]
In event of death of sd. Eliza: without issue, sd. plantation to pass to 2 daus. afsd., Mary Jackson and Susanna Swanson, equally.

New information shows that Susanna Plummer was the dau. of Thomas Plummer and Elizabeth Smith (not Stockett.) Elizabeth Smith was the sister of the John Smith who d. testate in Calvert Co., Md. on Aug. 1, 1698 (probate date.) July 25, 1706 - The Additional Account of Elizabeth Plumer, executrix of Thomas Plumer, late of Ann Arrundell Co., deceased. The estate of ye said deceased amounts to the sum of 110 pounds, 15 shillings, sterling and 8434 pounds of tobacco. The account shows a payment of 2000 lbs. of tobacco to Susanna Ward [willed by Thomas Plummer to dau. Susanna who has now m. James Ward.]
