Indenture made February 2, 1775; whereas John Clarvoe, planter has right of reversion in fee to a tract (heretofore granted to Francis Clarvoe) called "Maiden Bradley" now possessed by Elizabeth Downing, grandmother to John Clarvoe during her natural life. John Clarvoe in consideration of 55 pounds current money paid by William Jenkins, carpenter has sold the aforesaid tract called "Maiden Bradley" containing 105 acres beginning at a bounded red oak of "Appledore". Signed John Clarvoe, Jr., in the presence of and acknowledged before John Baynes, Luke Marbury and at the same time Mary Clarvoe w/o John Clarvoe relinquished her right of dower
