      Indenture made July 1778; Joseph Sim in consideration of the natural love and affection which he has for his son Patrick Sim and for 5 shillings sterling has given by these presents all his tract called "Sim's Delight" containing 1158 ¾ acres (except 4 acres of said tract conveyed to Matthew Eversfield in exchange and 156 acres lying to the westward of a tract at the upper end and adjoining to the house and plantation now rented and occupied by John Galwith and adjoining "Towgood"and the land of Thomas Sansbury, and also ¼ acre whereon the burying ground or graveyard is near to the dwelling house and adjoining the garden); likewise 1 ½ acre part of a tract called Brooke Reserve which I purchased of Matthew Eversfield in exchange containing in the whole 1000 acres.
