Indenture made May 22, 1772; Henry Rozer, Daniel Carroll and Notley Young, Gentleman, trustees of Charles Carroll, Esq. for the purpose of erecting a Town called Carrollsburgh on Potomack River in consideration of 6 pounds sterling money paid by Mary Carroll, Jr. has sold "Lot Number 49" which she drew in a lottery. Indenture made May 10, 1779; Joseph Sim in consideration of the natural love and affection which he has for his infant grandson Joseph Sim (s/of Patrick Sim and Mary Sim) and 5 shillings current money paid by his father has given by these presents part of a tract called "Sim's Delight" containing 141-5/8 acres being the west end of said tract adjoining to the part Joseph Sim has conveyed to Thomas Contee by deed bearing equal date with these presents.
