Aug 5, 1777 from Alexander Cattlett and Susanna, his wife, Hardage Lane & Rachel, his wife, Zachariah Offutt and Eleanor, his wife, Charles Gassaway and Ruth, his wife, John Watkins Jr and Mary, his wife, and Charles Beall and Tabitha, his wife, to Benjamin Edwards and Margaret, his wife. Whereas Andrew Beall Jr, late of Frederick County, decd, did intend, by his will, to devise all his lands, viz, the tract called part of the second resurvey on the William and John, another called Buck bottom, and another called part of Mitchells Range, now lying in M, unto his sisters Susanna, Margaret, Eleanor, Ruth, Mary, and Rachel, in fee, but by mistake in the draft of his will gave the sd lands to them for their lives only. And whereas the afd several sisters and their husbands, together with their brother, Charles Beall, heir at law to the sd Andrew Beall Jr, decd, to correct the error in sd will, have mutually agreed to a division of the sd lands into 7 parts, which division has already taken place, each sister and her husband to hold their respective lot, as per allotment to them forever. And the sd Charles Beall, to hold his respective lot, as per allotment to him forever, for which purpose the parties to these presents have agreed to give each other their respective deeds.
