      THIS INDENTURE made the twenty fourth day of November in the year of our Lord 1740 Between RICHARD BLACKBURN of the Parish of Hamilton in the County of Prince William of one part and JOHN GREGG of the same Parish & County of other part Whereas JAMES MORRIS of the Parish of Ware in the County of GLOCESTER did by his certain Deeds of Lease &Release (bearing date the six- teenth & seventeenth days of October in the year 1733 for the consideration in said Deed of Release mention'd) sell unto said RICHARD BLACKBURN & JOHN GREGG & to their Heirs forever all that parcel of land being in the Parish of Hamilton in the County of Prince William on the Main Run of QUANTICUTT CREEK joyning to the land formerly taken up by WILLIAM BECK & RICHARD HATOFT in the possession of the REVD. EMANUEL JONES Clerk of the County of GLOUCESTER and bounded Beginning at the line of Mr. WILLIAM BECK & Mr. RICHD HATOFT extending South Westerly into the said Woods West by North crossing the said Run East Southerly to the line of said WILLIAM BECK & RICHD. HATOFT on the North side of said Run finally South Westerly to the said Run including the same, the whole containing one thousand two hundred & eighty acres as by the said Deeds of Lease and Release remaining of Record in the County Court of Prince William may appear. NOW THIS INDENTURE WITNESSETH that said RICHARD BLACKBURN & JOHN GREGG have agreed to make partition and by these presents do make a full & absolute partition of the said one thousand two hundred & eighty acres of land into two parts in manner following (that is to say) that he the said RICHARD BLACKBURN his heirs shall have forever all that part of the said land which is situate on the South side of the North Run of QUANTICOTT CREEK for his full part & that he the said JOHN GREGG his heirs shall have all that part of the said land which is situate on the North side of the North Run of QUANTICUTT CREEK for his full part, And the said JOHN GREGG doth confirm unto said RICHARD BLACKBURN & his heirs all that part of the aforementioned land which is scituate on the South side of the North Run of QUANTICUTT CREEK and the 5d RICHARD BLACKBURN doth release unto said JOHN GREGG all that part which is scituate on the North side of the North Run of QUANTICUTT CREEK, In Witness whereof said RICHARD BLACKBURN & JOHN GREGG have set their hands 6c seals

      NOW ALL MEN by these presents that I JOHN GREGG am held and firmly bound unto RICHARD BLACKBURN in the sum of five hundred pounds Sterling the twenty fourth day of November MDCCXL. THE CONDITION of this obligation is such that if JOHN GREGG truly observe all agreements contained in the Deed of Partition which on the part of the said JOHN GREGG ought to be observed that then this obligation to be void, else in force in presence of RENJA.
