Charles County Land Records, Liber M#2 Page 354. At the request of John Holly of Prince Georges County, the following deed was recorded this Sep 18, 1733. Aug 14, 1733 from William Smallwood and James Smallwood of CC, planters, to John Holly of Prince Georges County, planter, for 20 shillings (that is, 10 shillings apiece to Wm and James Smallwood), a small parcel of land in CC containing 2 acres, bounded by the Run side, called Pinee, retaining and now laid out for about 2 acres. John Holly shall have free privilege of getting wood for firing during his life, of the land belonging to sd Wm Smallwood and James Smallwood. Signed - William (M his mark) Smallwood, James Smallwood.
Wit - John Stoddert, Henry Massey, Thomas Stone*, Richard Tarvin*. Mary, the wife of the afd William Smallwood, released her right of dower in and to the within mentioned land.
