To: JOHN BIGGERS; in behalf of EDWARD TRUEMAN, the son-in-law of THOMAS TANEY, and son of HENRY TRUEMAN, late of Calvert County, deceased, gent.

Property: Two tracts:
1) part of a tract patented to EDWARD WOOD called "Woods Joy" on the west side of Patuxent River in P. G. County, bounding on the river, 180 acres;
2) and an adjoining tract called "Timber Neck," bounding on land of IGNATIUS CRAYCROFT, 250 acres. Said land to go to EDWARD TRUEMAN or his lawfully begotten heirs, but if he has none and does not reach age 21 years, then the land is to go to THOMAS TRUEMAN, youngest son of HENRY TRUEMAN.

At the request of Edwd Trueman of Prince Georges County, Gent, the following deed was recorded this Nov 1, 1728.
Sep 27, 1728 from Capt Charles Beale of Prince Georges County, to Edward Trueman of the county abovesd, and Elizabeth, his wife, the only daughter and heiress of Thomas Hucheson, late of St Mary's County, deceased. Colo Ninian Beale of Prince Georges County had surveyed, and laid out for him a tract of land lying then in St Mary's'County, called Edenburgh, containing about 380 acres, according to the patent thereof dated [blank month and day], 16_. Sd Ninian Beale did afterwards sell the land to Thomas Hutcheson of St Mary's County, merchant. Sd Thomas Hutcheson, by his will dated Jan 3, 1697, bequeathed the sd land and, premises to his only daughter, Elizabeth Hutcheson, party,.to,these presents. The deed from Colo Beale to the afd Thomas Hutchenson was never recorded in the Provincial Records nor in the records of the county where the land lay, so that the true intent of sd deed was utterly defeated and made void, to the detriment of the heiress and legatee. Of sd Thomas Hutcheson. This deed therefore further witnesses that sd Charles Beale, eldest son and heir at law of Ninian Beale, for divers causes and considerations, but more especially that justice might be done to the daughter and legatee of Thomas Hutchenson afd, has granted to the sd Edward Trueman and Elizabeth, his wife, all that tract of land formerly said to lie in St Mary's County but now lying chiefly in CC, called Edenburgh, bounded by William Marshall's land called The Two Friends, containing and laid out for about 380 acres. Charles Beale warrants the rents and services which have grown due and payable to Charles Lord Baron of Baltimore or which may hereafter grow due from Jun 23, 1696 only excepted.

Oct 1, 1728 from Edward Trueman of Prince Georges County, Gent, and Elizabeth, his wife, only daughter and legatee of Thomas Hutchinson, late of St Mary's County, merchant, decd, to Randolph Morris of CC, merchant. Colo Ninian Beale of Prince Georges County, decd, had surveyed and laid out for him a tract of land lying then in St Mary's County called Edinburgh, containing about 380 acres, according to the patent thereof dated [blank month and day], 16 . Sd Ninian Beale did afterwards sell the land to Thomas Hutchinson of St Mary's County, merchant, as by deed upon record in Prince Georges County. Sd Thomas Hutchinson, by his will dated Jan 3, 1697, bequeathed the sd land and premises to his only daughter, Elizabeth Hutchinson, now wife of Edward Trueman and party to these presents. The deed from Colo Beale to the afd Thomas Hutchenson was not effectual for want of being recorded, either in the Provincial Court or in the county where the land lay, wherefore Capt Charles Beale, eldest son and heir of Colo Ninian Beale abovesd, by CC deed dated Sep 27, 1728, conveyed the abovesd land and premises to Edward Trueman and Elizabeth, his wife, the only daughter and legatee of Thomas Hutchinson. Now this deed further witnesses that sd Edward Trueman and Elizabeth,*his wife, for 50 £sterling, have granted to the sd Randolph Morris, all that tract of land formerly said to lie in St Mary's County but since the division of the county,-chiefly found to lie in CC, called Edenburgh, bounded by William Marshall's land called The Two Friends, containing and laid out for about 380 acres. Charles Beale warrants the rents and services which have grown due and payable to Charles Lord Baron of Baltimore or which may hereafter grow due from Jun 23, 1696 only excepted.
