      I, Martha Matthews of CC, am weak and low in body, but of sound and disposing mind and memory.
      To my daughter Mary (May) Shierburn - my Negroes Judy, Lewis, Beck and her 3 children. Also my yoke of oxen & my chest of drawers and my old bay horse.
      To my daughter Jane Matthews - my 2 Negroes, old Ruth and Agnes. Also my 2 best beds and furniture, my best horse and best cow and calf.
      To my grandson Richard Shierburn - my Negro boy Baptist, 1 cow and calf, & 1 bed and furniture.
      To my granddaughter Mary Shierburn - my Negro wench Flora and her child, and also 1 heifer
      To my afd daughters - after my just debts are paid, the rest
      of my estate, goods and chattels, to be equally divided between them.

      To son Thomas, during life, all those parts of the several tracts following, viz.: "Hall's Place;" "The Addition," Jarvis," "Preston" and "'Queen Mary," not heretofore sold and hereafter mentioned to young. sons to whom it is disposed of, and after decease of sd. son Thomas all afsd. lands (300 A.) to be divided between his two sons John and Thomas and their hrs.; and 20 s.
      To wife of son Thomas (unnamed), and every one of her child., personalty; and to child. of son Thomas 25 s. each to pay for 1 yr's schooling,.
      To son Benjamin and hrs., all those parts of tracts following., viz.: "Wall's Lot" "Halls" Place," "Jarvis" and "The Addition," lying between dwelling house, Spring branch and the land formerly given to deceased son Henry Joshua Jameson.

      To son Thomas Jamison, Senr, sum of 3500 pounds of tobacco to be paid by my son Joseph Jamison and my son Benj. Jamison.

      To dau Martha Matthews, great iron pot, silver spoon,, pewter bason.
      To dau Anne Spalding, use or profit of a negro man named Pompa during her life and after I give the said negro to my grandson Henry Spalding, and likewise give her the use or profit of a negro girl named Henne and after my granddau Mary Spalding. My desire is that the said negroes shall be in the care of Marsham Queen during the life of my dau Anne Spalding and give my dau Anne Spalding the third part of my sheep and the 1/4 part of my cattle and the fifth part of my hogs, dish six plates and other.
      To son Joseph Jameson., use of Negro Ben. After death of son Thomas Jamison the said Negro I give to my granddau. Mary Jameson I give him the use of the third part of sheep and fourth part of my cattle and one bed and after the said Joseph Jamison's death the said chattel to be equally divided among his children except Mary Jamison I give the bequest to my son Benj: Jameson one Negro
      girl named Bess.
      I desire that molatew [Mulatto] Charles shall live with which of my children he shall choose to live with,
      Remainder part of my estate I give to my dau. Mary Queen.

      If my wife Margaret Matthews marry imprudently or die my uncle Benjamin Jameson to have care of my son and his estate, if my uncle die my brother-In-law Walter Pye shall be guardian of my son.
