Richard Jenkins Will
In the Name of God Amen, I Richard Jenkins of the Parish of Cople and County of Westmoreland being far advanced in years but of sound perfect and disposing mind and memory do make this my last will and testament in manner and form as followeth.
Item I give and bequeath unto my son William Jenkins one shilling sterling in full for his part of my estate.
Item I give and bequeath unto my son Richard Jenkins by best gun and my prayer book.
Item I give and bequeath unto my daughter Jemima Barker, one shilling sterling in full for her part of my estate.
Item I give to my daughter Frances Jenkins, my second best bed, bedstead and furniture and the choice of my cows and calves, one dish, one bason, two plates, four spoons pewter.
Item I give unto my son Joseph Jenkins, one shilling sterling in full for his part of my estate.
Item I give unto my son Thomas Jenkins, one shilling sterling in full for his part of my estate.
Item I give unto my son Presley Jenkins, my mare colt called Trimmer, and three pounds specia.
Item I give unto my daughter Sebina Jenkins my third best bed, bedstead and furniture, the second best cow and calf, one dish, one bason, two plates, four spoons pewter.
Item I give and bequeath unto my son Smith Jenkins, my case with nine bottles, and all the rest and residue of my estate.
Item I give and bequeath to my loving wife Sibbella Jenkins for and during her natural life, and after her decease my will is that it shall be equally divided among my three children, Smith Jenkins, John Barker Jenkins and Daniel Jenkins.
Lastly, I constitute and appoint my loving wife executrix and my son Thomas Jenkins executor of this my last will and testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 2nd day of February 1782.

At a court held for Westmoreland County the 28th day of May 1782 this will was proved according to law by the oaths of James Muse and Thomas Spence two of the witnesses thereunto and ordered to be recorded; and on the motion of Thomas Jenkins the executor therein named who made oath thereto according to law and together with Benjamin Weaver and Joseph Moxley his securities entered into and acknowledged bond with condition as the law directs, certificate is granted him for obtaining a probate thereof in due form.
