      Samuel Harrison's Will
      In the name of God Amen, I Samuel Harrison of the County of Westmorland being sick of body but of sound and perfect memory do make this my last will and testament in manner and form following this 11th day of August 1763.
      Imprimis, I give and bequeath to my son William Harrison all the land I live on that was ever in the possession of my father George Harrison with all improvements.
      Item I give and bequeath to my son Jeremiah Harrison all the land I purchased of James Lane and Elizabeth Lane his wife with all improvements.
      Item I give and bequeath to my daughter Ann Harrison the best feather bed in my estate except the double bed my wife and self commonly lye on and one good cow and calf to her disposal immediately after appraisement.
      Item I give and bequeath to my daughter Hannah Harrison the next best bed and my will estate except as before excepted and one good cow and calf to be at her disposal immediately after my estate can be appraised.
      Item I give unto My Lovely Wife Magdalene Harrison my double bed whereon we usually like together with the furniture thereunto belonging and further my will is said the furniture now used with the other two beds before mentioned shall go with and belong to the said two beds before given to my two daughters and further my will is that my son Jeremiah Harrison shall have his horse to his own immediate disposal and further my will is that my land and Negroes and James Cavinor and Sally Harper shall stay altogether until Dr. Nicholas Flood is paid the bond he has now against me and my will and desire is that my son Jeremiah Harrison’s just accounts not including the present crop shall be accounted fully paid and satisfied by the legacy of land before mentioned to him and further my will is my whole estate together entire together with land orchards and all improvements to be applied to discharge my just debts by the profits that shall arise there from and further my will and desire is that my whole estate after my just debts are paid and legacies before mentioned complied with shall be equally divided between my loving wife and my four children.
      Item I appoint ordain my two sons William Harrison and Jeremiah Harrison my sole and whole executors of this my last will and testament.

      At a court held for Westmoreland County the 31st day of July 1764 this last will and testament of Samuel Harrison, deceased was proved according to law by the oath of John Harrison and Thomas Walmoth, witnesses thereto and ordered to be recorded; and on the motion of William Harrison and Jeremiah Harrison the executors named in the said will who made all according to law and together with Daniel Tebbs and Matthew Lamkin their securities entered into and acknowledged bond with condition as the Law directs, certificate is granted them for obtaining a probate thereof in due form.
