      IN THE NAME OF GOD. Amen. the fourth day of October one thousand seven hundred forty and four. I FRANCES GRACE of Parish of Copley and County of 'Westmorland being weak in body but of perfect mind and memory thanks be given to Almighty God thefore, calling to mind the mortality of my body and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to dye, do make this my Last Will and Testament,
      that is to say, principally and first. of all 1 give and recommend my Soul into the hands of God that gave it and my body I recommend to the earth to be buried in decent Christian burial at the discretion of my Executor, nothing doubting but at the general day of Resurrection I shall receive the same again by the mighty power of God and as touching such worldly Estate as it hath pleased God to bless me with in this life, I give demise and dispose of the same in the following manner and form;
      Imprimis. I give and bequeath to my Son, HENRY DUNCAN, one Cow and Calf his choice of my Stock;
      Item. I allso give and bequeath to my Daughter, MARY SCOT [Scutt], one Cow and two Ewes with all their increases
      Item, I also give and bequeath to my Daughter, ELIZABETH McBOID one Cow and two Ewes with all their increase:
      Item. I also do give and bequeath to my two Daughters, MARY SCOT [Scutt] and ELIZABETH McBOID all my wareing clothes to be equally divided between them;
      Item. I constitute make and ordain my well beloved Son, HENRY DUNCAN, my whole and sole Executor of this my Last Will and Testament and do hereby utterly disallow all and every other former Wills and Testaments and Executors by me made either by word or writing and this only to be taken for my Last Will and Testment and none other: In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year first above written
      Signed and Sealed published pronounced and declared by the said FRANCES GRACE as her Last Will and Testament in the presents of us

      Item. I do give and bequeath to my Executor, my Son HENRY DUNCAN, all the remainder part of my Estate as God hast possest me with after the Leggoses is payd of above named

      This Last Will and Testament of FRANCES GRACE, deced,, was presented into Court by HENRY DUNCAN, her Executor therein named who makde oath thereto and being proved by the oaths of WILLIAM DUNCAN and JAMES LANE, witnesses thereto, is admitted to Record: And upon motion of the said HENRY and his performing what is usual in such cases, Certificate is granted him for obtaining a Probate thereof in due form
