Piece of land on the north side of the swamp commonly called Blyses, sold by Wm. Walker to Wm. Garland, lying between the land of Edmund Jefferes and Robert Eyles.

For 2500 lbs of tobacco. 30 acres beginning at [A] a red oak in or near the line of Mr. Clay, West 60 poles to [B] a white oak by a swamp in the line of said Clay, S24W 8 poles to [C] a dogwood in the line of Robert Middleton thence S41.5E 20 poles to [D] a Spanish oak in the line of the said Middleton and [George] Harrison thence S61E 40 poles to [E] a red oak in the line of the said George Harrison thence along his line to [A] the beginning tree being part of patent to William Hammock in 1697 and he (Hammock) conveyed it to the said Lawrence Burck on 28 June 1710.       THIS INDENTURE made the twenty seventh day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred & twenty four and the Eleventh year of the reign of our Soveraign Lord, King George of Great Britain &c., Between JOHN SMITH of the County of Westmoreland of the one part and WILLIAM GARNER, SENR., of the same Countrof the other part: Witnesseth that JOHN SMITH in consideracon of the sum of Six thousand pounds of tobo: to him in hand paid, the receipt whereof he doth acknowledge by these presents doth bargain and sell unto WM: GARNER. his heirs all that parcel! of land which JOHN SMITH bought of JOHN HARRIS, as by Deed bearing date the 18th day of June 1709 may more fully appear; being part of a parcel of Land formerly sold by WM. WALKER to WILLIAM GARLAND and afterwards sold by WM: GARLAND to the aforemenconed JOHN HARRIS scituate in the Parish of Cople & County of Westmoreland and on the North side of a Swamp called & known by the name of BLYCES, with all its rights & appurtenances together with all houses profits & appurtenances belonging;
      To have and to hold the tenement and premisses with appurtenances unto WM: GARNER his heirs (the rents and services which from henceforth from time to time shall grow due & payable to the Cheif Lord or Lords of the Fee or Fees of the premisses only excepted ); and JOHN SMITH shall warrant & forever defend by these presents; In Witness whereof the sd. parties have to these presents interchangeably sett their hands & seals the day & year above written

      THIS INDENTURE made this Twenty fifth day of March in the twentieth year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Second by the grace of God of Great Brittain France and Ireland, King, Defender of the faith &c., And in the year of our Lord 1747; Between JOHN SMITH of Parish of Fredireck in County of FREADERICK of one part and GEORGE HARRISON of Parish of Cople in County of Westmorland of other part; Witnesseth that JOHN SMITH in consideration of the sum of Twenty pounds current money of Virginia to him in hand paid by GEORGE (alis) WILLIAM PORTER of whom the said GEORGE HARRISON is assignee, the receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge, hath and by these presents doth bargain and sell unto GEORGE HARRISON all that parcel of land lying in Parish of Cople in County of Westmorland, it being by imputation Thirty acres be it more or less. bounded; Begining at a red Oak in or near the line of Mr. CLAY, runing West sixty poles to a white Oak by a Swamp in a line of said CLAY, thence South 24 degs. West eight pole to a Dogwood in the line of Mr. ROBERT MIDDLETON, now BROW and GARNERS line, thence South 41 1/2 degrees East twenty pole to a Spanish Oak in the line of said MIDDLETON and HARRISON, thence South 61 degs. East forty poles to a red Oak in the line of GEORGE HARRISON, thence runing a strate line to the said begining tree; the parcel of land being part of a tract of One hundred and sixty one acres granted to one WILLIAM HAMMOCK the 28th day of June in the year 1697 as by a Patent out of the Proprietors Office doth appear; To have and to hold the Thirty acres of land more or less the premises with appurtenances unto GEORGE HARRISON his heirs to he holden to the Chief Lord or Lords of the Fee or Fees of the premises by the rents and services for the same due and of right accustomed to be paid free and clear from all incumbrances.
