      THIS INDENTURE made the xxvii day of November in the year of our Lord MDCCXXX, Between JOHN JONES of County of ESSEX & ELIZABETH his Wife of one part and ARMSTEAD CHURCHILL of County of MIDDLESEX, Gent., of other part; Witnesseth that JOHN JONES & ELIZABETH his Wife in consideration of the sum of Five shillings to them in lhand paid by ARMSTEAD CHURCHILL, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have and by these p:sents do bargain and sell unto ARMSTEAD CHURCHILL all that Plantation & tract of land scitaute in Parrish of Sittenborne in County of Richmond containing One hundred seventy & five aces and bounded; Beginning at a small red Oak on a Point by the River side a little above the CLIFF CREEK which Oak is a corner tree of said CHURCHILLs Land, thence running along said CHURCHILLs line North 78 degrees 15m. East 310 perches to a tall Poplar in the angle of two Beaches & one Sassafras in a Swamp, thence North 26 degrees West 110 perches to a dead Oak by Mr, HEARUS FEUCE, thence South 63 degs. West 81 perches to a Poplar in a Swamp, thence down the Swamp North 72 degs, West 12 perches, thence North 36 degs, West 28 perches, thence West 48 perches, thence South 67 degs. West 28 perches, thence North 84 degs. West 18 perches to a Maple in the said Swamp, and from thence to the first station which Plantation & tract of land did formerly belong to EDMUND McLYNCH, deced., who by his Last Will in writing, remaining among the Records of the Court of Richmond County, gave & bequeathed the same in such manner & form as that the fee simple Estate thereof is lawfully vested in the aforesaid ELIZABETH JONES, party to these psents, which ELIZABETH is one of the Daughters of JANE, the Wife of EDMUND McLYNCH, menconed in his said Will; Together with all houses orchards profits and appurtenances to the p:mises belonging; To have and to hold the Plantation & tract of land with the appurts, unto ARMSTEAD CHURCHILL and assigns during the terme of one whole year paying unto JOHN JONES and ELIZABETH his Wife their heirs the rent of one Ear of Indian Corn only on the last day of the Tearm (if lawfully demanded), to the intent that by vertue of these p:sents and of the Statute for transferring uses into possession said ARMISTEAD CHURCHILL may be in the actual' possession of the p:mises & thereby enabled to take a release of the inheritance thereof to him and his heirs; In Witness whereof the parties to these p:sent Indentures have hereunto interchangeably set their hands and affixed their seals the day & year first above written

      THIS INDENTURE made the xxviii day of November in the year of our Lord MDCCXXX, Between JOHN JONES of County of ESSEX & ELIZABETH his Wife of one part and ARMSTEAD CHURCHILL of County of MIDDLESEX, Gent., of other part; Witnesseth that JOHN JONES &ELIZA: his Wife in consideracon of thesum of Twenty six pounds, Eighteen shillings & five pence of lawfull money to them in hand paid by ARMSTEAD CHURCHILL the receipt whereof they doe hereby acknowledge, hath and by these p:sents doth bargain sell and release unto ARMSTEAD CHURCHILL (in his actual possession now being by vertue of a bargain and sale to him thereof made for one whole year and by force of the Statute for transferring uses into possession) and to his heirs all that Plantacon & tract of land lying in Parish of Sittenbourne in County of Richmond containing One hundred seventy & five acres and bounded, Beginning (the bounds of the land repeated as in the Lease); To have and to hold the Plantation & tract of land and other the p:mises unto ARMSTEAD CHURCHILL his heirs; And JOHN JONES & ELIZA; his Wife their heirs the p:mises with appurts. unto ARMSTEAD CHURCHILL his heirs shall warrant & for ever defend by these p:sents; In Witness whereof the parties to these present Indentures have hereunto interchangeably sett their hands and affixed their seals the day and year first above written

      KNOW ALL MEN by these p:sents that I JOHN JONES of County of ESSEX am held and firmly bound unto ARMSTEAD CHURCHILL of County of MIDDLESEX. Gent,. in the sum of Two hundred pounds Sterl money to the which payment well and truely to be made I bind my self my heirs firmly by these presents; Sealed with my seal dated this xxviii day of November Anne Dom. MDCCXX1
      THE CONDICON of the above obligation is such that if the above bound JOHN JONES and ELIZABETH, the Wife of said JOHN. shall observe and keep all the Covenants which on their part ought to be observed and kept comprized in one Indenture of Release made between JOHN JONES and ELIZABETH his Wife and ARMSTEAD CHURCHILL according to the true meaning of the Indenture, then this Obligation to be void, else to remain in full force and vertue
