      KNOW ALL MEN by these rsents that I FRANCIS WILLIAMS of Pish of Sittenburn in County of Richmond, Planter, have and by these p:sents do nominate and appoint WILLIAM STURMAN of Pish of Cople in County of WESTMORLAND my true and lawfull Attorney for me and in my behalf to acknowledge in the County Court of Richmond certain Deeds by way of Lease and Release together with a Bond for performance of Covenants made or expressed to be made for the conveying One hundred acres of land unto ALVIN MOTTERSHED of abovesd. Pish of Sittenburn and County of Richmond and do hereby allow and give my Attorney all my whole power and authority for executing and doing in the p:mises in as large and ample manner as I my self might or could do were I personally present, ratifying and by these presents holding firm and effectual in Law all that my Attorney shall do in or about the p:mises; In Witness whereof I have hereunto sett my hand and seal this 18th day of June 1730

      THIS INDENTURE made the Seventeenth day of June in the Fourth year of the reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Second by the grace of God King of Great Brittain France and Ireland. Defender of the faith &c,. And in the year of our Lord Christ one thousand seven hundred and Thirty, Between FRANCIS WILLIAMS of Parish of Sittenburn in County of Richmond, Planter, of one part and ALVIN MOTTERSHED of Parish and County aforesaid, Merchant, of other part: Witnesseth that FRANCIS WILLIAMS in consideracon of the sum of Five shillings Sterling money to him in hand paid by ALVIN MOTTERSHED, the receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge, hath and by these p:sents Both bargain and sell unto ALVIN MOTTERSHED all that the full quantity of One hundred acres of land scituate in Parish of Sittenburn and County of Richmond being part of Three hundred acres of land formerly purchased by FRANCIS WILLIAMS the Elder, deced„ Father to abovesaid FRANCIS, now party to these presents, who by his certain Deed of Feofment in his life time duely executed made over and conveyed the same unto FRANCIS WILLIAMS, JUNR., as by said Deed recorded among the Records of the County of Richmond and dated the Thirtieth day of October in the year one thousand seven hundred and Ten may more fully appear; being the same Plantacon and land whereon said FRANCIS WILLIAMS now lives to be bounded and held by ALVIN MOTTERSHED his heirs to the same metes and bounds as is menconed and expressed in the aforesaid Deed, Together with all profits priviledges comodities and appurts: to the p:mises belonging; To have and to hold the One hundred acres of land unto ALVIN MOTTERSHED his heirs during the term of one whole year paying therefore unto FRANCIS WILLIAMS the rent of one Pepper Corn at the Feast of the Birth of our Lord Christ if lawfully demanded to the intent that by vertue of these p:sents and of the Statute for transferring uses into possession ALVIN MOTTERSHED may be in actual possession of the p:mises and thereby the better enabled without attournment of Tennant, Livery of Seizen or other ceremoney whatsoever to accept a release of the freehold and inheritance thereof, In Witness whereof the parties first above named to these p:sents Indentures have hereunto interchangeably sett their hands and seals the day and year first above written

Planter, of one part and ALVIN MOTTERSHED of Parish and County aforesaid, Merchant, of other part; Witnesseth that FRANCIS WILLIAMS in consideracon of the summ of Tenn thousand pounds of good tobacco to him in hand paid by ALVIN MOTTERSHED, the receipt whereof the said FRANCIS doth hereby acknowledge, hath and by these p;sents doth bargain sell and release unto ALVIN MOTTERSHED (in his actual possession now being by vertue of a bargain and sale to him thereof made for one year and by force and vertue of the Statute for transferring uses into possession) his heirs all that full quantity of One hundred acres of Land (this Release continues as in the Lease concerning the conveyances of the land); To have and to hold the land and p:mises unto ALIVN MOTTERSHED his heirs and FRANCIS WILLIAMS cloth grant for him and his heirs unto ALVIN MOTTERSHED his heirs against every person to warrant and forever defend by these p:sents: the rents and services from henceforth to become due and payable to the Cheif Lord or Lords of the Fee or Fees only excepted; In Witness whereof the parties first above named to these p:sent Indentures have interchangeably sett their hands and seals the day and year first above written

      KNOW ALL MEN by these p:sents that I FRANCIS WILLIAMS of Parish of Sittenburn in County of Richmond am held and firmly bound unto ALVIN MOTTERSHED of Parish and County aforesaid in the sum of One hundred pounds Sterling, to the which payment well and truely to be made I bind my self my heirs firmly by these p:sents; Sealed with my Seal and dated this Eighteenth day of June in the Fourth year of the reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Second by the grace of God of Great Brittain France and Irland, Ling Defender of the faith &c., Annoq: Domini 1730
      THE CONDICON of the above obligacon is such that if the above bound FRANCIS WILLIAMS his heirs shall well and truely observe and keep all the Covenants which on the part of FRANCIS WILLIAMS his heirs ought to be observed and kept comprized in certain Indentures of bargain and sale by way of Lease and Release made between FRANCIS WILLIAMS and ALVIN MOTTERSHED in all things according to the true meaning of the Indentures, Also if ELIZABETH the Wife of FRANCIS WILLIAMS, shall and doe when thereunto required by ALVIN MOTERSHED relinquish her right of Dower or Thirds in the land granted by the Deeds of Lease and Release by FRANCIS WILLIAMS her Husband unto ALVIN MOTTERSHED and his heirs; Then this Obligacon to be void and of none effect, otherwise to he and remain in full force and vertue
