THIS INDENTURE made this 3rd day of May 1726 in ye year of our Lord God one thousd. seven hundd. twenty & five Between NICHOLAS MARTIN of Copley Psh. in WESTMORELAND County & Colony of Virginia, Planter, & ELIZA: his now Wife of ye one p.ty & JNO: CRALLE, SENR. of St. Stephens Psh. in NORTHUMBERLAND County & Colony aforesd. Gent., of other ply; Wittnesseth yt. NICHO: MARTIN & ELIZA. his Wife for several good causes them thereunto moving, but more especially for ye consideration of ye sum of One thousd. Six hundd. pounds of tobo, in Cask to them in hand paid or secured to be paid, the receipt wehreof they do hereby acknowledge, hath and by these p:scnts doth bargain & sell unto JNO: CRALLE his heirs one small p:cell or point of Land containing by estimation Eight or Nine acres be it more or less, scituate in Psh; of Northfarnham in ye County of Richmd. and bounded: Begining at a corner red Oak standing upon ye side of a Vally near to a Great Marshey Bran ch of TOTUSKEY CREEK, thence stretching to a corer: tree of sd. NICHO: MARTINs land standing near a Sixty foot tobo: House, standing on ye Land of JNO: CRALLE, JUNR., thence a streight course along ye line of ye sd. NICHO: MARTINs land to ye Middle of a Swamp suning into TOTUSKEY, ye sd. Run being ye bounds thereof wch : small p:cell of land is a part of a great quantity of Land purchased by ROBT. CLARK, SENR., deced., of one DANLL. SWILLIVANT & by ye sd. ROBT. CLARKE devis'd unto his Son, THOMAS CLARK, & by ye Last Will & Testamt. of ye sd. THOS: CLARK devis'd to his then Wife, ELIZA., now ELIZA: MARTIN, & now by ye sd. NICHO. MARTIN & ye sd. ELIZA: his Wife unto JNO: CRALLE, SENR. And all houses orchards & other hereditament., to ye p ;cell of land belonging.
