Pursuant to the order of last Mar Court, Commission issued to examine witnesses touching the bounds of a tract of land called Spye Park, lying in CC, in the possession of John, William, and James Hamilton, as follows: To Samuel Hanson, William Middleton, Thomas Hawkins, and Samuel Hawkins of CC (not being any way related to the petitioner, contiguous proprietor, nor interested in sd land). John, William, and James Hamilton, on Mar 9 in the 27th year of our Dominion, preferred their petition to this Court on the day afd, before Robert Hanson, Gent, and his associates, for Commission to examine witnesses to prove and perpetuate the memory of the bounds of sd tract of land. Signed Mar 13, 1741 - Edm'd Porteus.
And now here, William Middleton and Samuel Hawkins, return to this Court the Commission afd, with the certificate and depositions thereto annexed, viz -
We did, last Apr 22, meet on the sd land, and took the depositions of all such witnesses as were produced to us. Signed Jun 19, 1742 - William Middleton, SHawkins.
CC, Apr 22, 1742. Edward Neale, age about 38, declares that that stone by which he now stands, lying at the root of a small black oak standing on Portobacco Branch, about 16 years ago, John Thomson, late of CC, decd, showed him and told him it was the 1st beginning boundary of a tract of land belonging to Alexander Hamilton, which this deponent understood the sd Hamilton bought of Mr. Diggs. And this deponent also declares that the bounded poplar on which he now lays his hand, standing on the hillside near the abovesd branch, the abovesd Thompson showed him to be the 2nd bound tree of the sd land.
Francis Green, age about 47, declares that about 6-7 years ago, the bounded poplar on which this deponent now lays his hand, was shown him by the above John Thompson to be the 2nd bound tree of Hamiltons Land.

Indenture made April 7, 1750; between William Thompson of Charles County, Maryland, planter of the one part and Thomas Thompson of Prince George's County, Maryland, planter of the other part. Whereas the said William Thompson and Thomas Thompson are now jointly seized in possession of their demise as of fee of the moiety or half part of a tract in Prince George's County called "Aix" lying to the eastward of a line drawn southeast through the land to Mattawoman being the land originally patented on June 12, 1688 to William Hutchinson for the quantity of 422 acres lying on Mattawoman run and devised to William Thompson and Thomas Thompson by the last will and testament of John Thompson late of Charles County, Maryland deceased bearing date March 2, 1733. Now this indenture witness that William Thompson and Thomas Thompson do by these presents make a full perfect and absolute partition of the said moiety of land and William Thompson will have that part of the moiety lying on the east side of a branch called Spring branch running through and dividing the said parcel in two equal parts agreed by the said parties and Thomas Thompson will have that part or moiety lying on the west side.
