      THIS INDENTURE made this 5th day of April in the 1721 yeare of ye Reign of our Sovereign Lord George by the grace of God of Great Brittaine and Ireland, King Defender of the faith &c and in ye yeare of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and Twenty one Between JOHN BARKER of County of Richmond, Planter, of one part and EDMOND COLLINSWORTH of ye County of WESTMORELAND, Planter, of other part: Witnesseth that ye said JOHN BARKER for diverse good causes and considerations him theretunto moveing but more especially in consideration of ye sume of Two thousand eight hundred pounds of tobacco to him in hand paid or well and sufficiently secured to be paid by EDMOND COLLINSWORTH by these presents doth bargaine and sell unto EDMOND COLLINSWORTH his heirs a certaine parcel of land lying in County of Richmond containing by estimation One hundred acres be ye same more or less, part of a tract of land formerly granted unto NICHOLAS COPELAND and WILLIAM WEST containing One thousand five hundred and nine acres as by Pattaine dated ye 25th of September 1665 may more at large appeare, the one hundred acres of land be ye same more or less bounded upon the land of THOMAS PATTY and ANDREW DEW and the Land formerly WILLIAM SIMS, viz: Begining at a white Oake by ye side of a Branch faling in BEAR BRANCH, thence North along THOS: PATTYs line 89 poles to a small Hickory sapling, thence East 40 poles to a white Oak, thence North 78 poles to a red Oake, thence West 110 poles to an Ash in ANDREW DEWs line, thence South 15 degrees East 37 poles to a Hicory, corner tree to ye sd. DEWs land, thence Southwest 102 poles to a red Oake, thence North 78 degrees East 60 poles to a small Poplar by a small Branch, thence South 8 degs: East 110 poles to a red Oake saplin by the first mentioned Branch, down ye sd. Branch to the first mentioned white Oake, with all its rights & priviledges together with all woods profitts and comodities whatsoever; To have and to hold the tract of land unto EDMOND COLLINSWORTH his heirs against JOHN BARKER his heirs & ye said JOHN BARKER shall warrant and forever defend by these presents; In Confirmation hereof I have hereunto set my hand and fixed my seal the day and year above specifide

JOHN BARKER, in open Court relinquished her Right of Dower in the Lands conveyed in this Deed unto the sd. EDMOND COLLINSWORTH which was alsoe admitted to Record

Edmund Collingsworth, of LP, planter, to William Jordan, same, Gent.; for 60 pounds CM; 100a, parcel in said parish, adj. lands of the said William Jordan and William Dew, which said 100a was formerly purchased by the said Edmund Collingsworth of one John Barker of Sittenbourn Parish, by deed of feoffment dated 5 APR 1721.
