Jan 5, 1791 from Francis Boucher Franklin of CC, planter, attorney for Catherine Hartley, one of the daughters and co-heirs of Charles Musgrove, late of St. Mary's County, to Benjamin Varnal Posey of CC, planter, for 100 £, one third part of an undivided tract of land called Hog Island, situated in CC. Hog Island descended from Charles Musgrove to his 3 daughters, Mary, Ann, and Catherine, party to the abovesd power of attorney, as coheiresses, and sd Benjamin Varnal Posey having married Mary afd, and Andrew Minitree having married Anne afd, and Clement Hartley having married Catharine afd, sd Benjamin Varnal Posey purchased from each of the parties afd, to wit, from sd Andrew Minitree and Ann, his wife, one third part of Hog Island, and from Clement and Catherine Hartley, the remaining third part containing about 91 acres.
