THIS INDENTURE made this 19th day of Sept. in year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and Eighty five Between JAMES STIGLER of County of Culpeper of one part and REUBEN GARNETT of said County of other part; Witnesseth that JAMES STIGLER in consideration of one hundred & forty three pounds Cash to him in hand paid by REUBEN GARNETT; by these presents doth bargain sell and deliver unto REUBEN GARNETT his heirs a certain parcel of land containing one hundred forty three acres lying in County of Culpeper begining at a dead white Oak, on the S. W. side of the TRIBB SPRING BRANCH, thence N. 75 E. 220 poles to three Pines in a bottom; thence S. 36 E. 55 poles to two Pines, thence S. 20 W. 120 poles to two Pines & a box Oak, thence South 54 West 204 poles to the begining; Together with all houses orchards and all other appurtenances thereunto belonging; To have and to hold the said tract of land and all the premises mentioned intended to be bargained and sold to REUBEN GARNETT his heirs and JAMES STIGLER for himself his heirs do hereby covenant and agree with REUBEN GARNETT his heirs shall at all times hereafter peaceably and quietly hold and enjoy all the above granted land with all its appurtenances thereunto belonging without the hindrance or interruption of said JAMES STIGLER his heirs; said land to be clear of all and from all former incumbrances whatsoever will and do warrant and defend the said land unto REUBEN GARNETT his heirs from the just claims of every person; In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this day and year above written Signed Sealed & Delivered in presence of

This Indenture was acknowledged by the parties & ordered to be recorded, previous to which the said MILLEY was first privily examined as the Law directs

THIS INDENTURE made this 17th day of October in the year of our Lord Christ one thousand seven hundred and Eighty five Between JOHN WAUGH of County of Culpeper of one part and REUBEN GARNETT of said County of other part; Witnesseth that JOHN WAUGH in. consideration of Nineteen pounds Cash to him in hand paid by REUBEN GARNETT, by these presents doth bargain sell and deliver unto the said REUBEN GARNETT his heirs a certain parcel of land containing Nineteen acres lying in the County of Culpeper begining at a white Oak on the North West side of CEDAR RUN, corner to HENRY GAINES & CAPT. GARNETT, thence N. 35 E. 126 poles to a large Hicory small red and white Oak saplins, corner to said GARNETT and JOHN WAUGH, thence S. 14 E. 47 poles to an Ash, Hicory & Spanish Oak on the said Run, thence down the Run the several courses to the begining; together with all appurtenances thereunto belonging and all right title and demand of JOHN WAUGH his heirs have or ought to have on the said land granted unto REUBEN GARNETT his heirs; To have and to hold the tract of land above granted and all the premises unto REUBEN GARNETT his heirs, And JOHN WAUGH for himself his heirs do hereby covenant and agree to and with REUBEN GARNETT his heirs shall at all times peaceably and quietly hold possess and enjoy all the above granted land with all its appurtenances thereunto belonging without the hindrance or interruption of said JOHN WAUGH his heirs and the above land mentioned to be clear of and from all former incumbrances whatsoever will warrant and defend the said land unto REUBEN GARNETT his heirs against the just claims of every person; In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixt. my seal the day and year above written
