      THIS INDENTURE made this 20th day of May 1776 Between BENJAMIN MORGAN & PHEBE his Wife of County of Surry in Province of North Carolina of one part & WILLIAM LOVE of King George County in the Province of Virginia Witnesseth that said Benjamin Morgan &Phebe his Wife for sum of Thirty five pounds current money of Virginia do grant unto said William Love & his heirs land in Parish of Bromfield, County of Culpeper bounded Beginning at a large Chesnut on a hill side on the North side of a branch Corner to ANTHONY STROTHER & runing with his line West to a Butterwood tree Corner to the said Strother on the South of the great Branch thence up the said Branch to a red oak on the North side of the said Branch to GEORGE STROTHER thence with his line West crossing the Rush River to a Dogwood on the North side of the River, thence down the run to a large Poplar near Capt. JOHN STROTHERs line on the said River thence with his line so crossing the river to a Chesnut oak on the End of the LITTLE MOUNTAIN to the Begining containing 330 acres .. . ,
