JANUARY the Fourth day one thousand seven hundred and Eighty six BE IT KNOWN to all persons by these presents that I BENJAMIN CAVE of Culpeper County for divers good causes to him moving but especially for the natural love and affection he the said BENJAMIN CAVE bears to his Daughter, SALLY MUSE CAVE, have given said SALLY MUSE CAVE and her heirs two young Negroes, (Vizt.) one a Negro girl named Dinah about seven years of age, the other a Negro boy named Jeffery about four years old, which said Negroes I do warrant & defend to the said SALLY MUSE CAVE and to her heirs, But in case the said SALLY MUSE CAVE should die without heirs of her body lawfully begotten then the said Negroes with all their increase to be equally divided between my three youngest Sons (to wit) BENJAMIN CAVE, WILLIAM CAVE and RICHARD CAVE their heirs; Provided either my aforesaid Sons should die before age or Mariage, then to be divided or fall to the surviving party or parties before mentioned; In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & Seal the day and year first above written
