William Tapp of St. Mark's Parish, Culpeper County, planter, to my loving son in law John Cunninghame and his wife my daughter Ann Cunningham of same. For natural love, good will and affection. 57 acres as by a survey made by Richard Young, surveyor, being part of a greater tract formerly granted me by patent 5 June 1736 .. on the south side of Deatherage's Run a corner to that part of my land I gave to my son William Tapp and Vincent Tapp ... corner to a tract formerly granted to Colo. Henry Willis and corner to my land on the north side of the run ... to the mouth of a small branch ... crossing the run ... ona hill in the old plantation ... by the edge of a stony thicket ... on the south side John Jett's plantation ... in the dividing line between me and my son Vincent Tapp ...

      THIS INDENTURE made this fourth day April 1777 Between JOHN CUNNINGHAME and ANN his Wife of County of Hampshire of one part and VINCENT TAP of County of Culpeper Witnesseth that said John Cunninghame and An his Wife for sum of Thirty pounds current money of Virginia have granted unto said Vincent Tapp his heirs land in County of Culpeper in the little fork of Rappahannock River which WILLIAM TAPP made over by a Deed of Gift date the 15th March 1765 and is bounded Begining at a Maple on the North side of Deatharges Run a corner to that part of land which said William Tapp gave to his son WM., now THOMAS HOPPERs / and Vincent Tap and runing thence down the several courses South to a large white oak corner to a Tract of land formerly granted to COLO. HENRY WILLIS and Corner to land of William Tap on the North side of the said Run still down the run to mouth of a small branch thence crossing the run South to pines saplins on a Hill in said William Tapps old Plantation thence South by the Edge of a stony thicket thence thro the said Plantation North to a pine in the divideing line between said William Tap and Vincent Tap thence with that Divideing line to the begining containing fifty seven acres . .
