Will of William Cooper of the County of Essex, being very sick and weeke in body, dated 25 Sept. 1729.
Unto my son William Cooper ten shilings and all my wearing cloths.
Unto my daughter Mary Page ten shillings.
Unto my son Richard Cooper my young mare called Bonny.
Unto my loveing wife Elizabeth Cooper all the rest of my estate until my son Richard Cooper shall attain to the age of eighteen years or the day of her marriage. After such time, two third parts to my son Richard Cooper and the other third part unto my loving wife.
My son Richard Cooper be for himselfe and to be possest of his estate and to act (with the consent of my son William Cooper) when he attaines to the age of eighteen years.
My loving wife Elizabeth Cooper and my son William Cooper. executors.

This Indenture made the first/2d day of November 1725 Between RICHARD COOPER Planter of Parish of Southfarnham in County of Essex and WILLIAM COOPER JUNIOR Planter of aforesaid County Witnesseth that said Richard Cooper by Indenture bearing date day before the date hereof for consideration therein mentioned did grant unto William Cooper Junior all that parcell of land in County of Essex in Parish of Southfarn ham containing 50 acres being part of the divident that I now live on bounded on the West side of the MAINE ROAD that goes through my plantation & joyning to the lands of WILLIAM MATHEWS, JANE BROWN & the Land that was formerly called GILES YOUNGs NOW THIS INDENTURE WITNESSETH that Richard Cooper in consideration of the Sum of Ten pounds current money paid by said William Cooper Junr doth hereby grant unto William Cooper junr. his heirs the 50 acres of land.

THIS INDENTURE made the 14th and 15th day of July in the year of our Lord God one thousand seven hundred and thirty two Between WILLIAM COOPER of the County of Essex in the Parish of Southfarnham of one part and JAMES TURNER of the aforesd County and Parish of the other part Witnesseth that the sd WILLIAM COOPER by Indenture bearing date the day next before the date of these presents for the consideration therein mentioned (five shillings) did bargain and sell unto the said JAMES TURNER all that tract of land being within the aforesd County and Parish it being all that tract of land lately purchased of RICHARD COOPER by the aforesd WILLM. COOPER binding on the West side of the ROADE and binding on the land of FRANCES YOUNG & the land of RICHARD BROWN according to the bounds exprest in the Deeds of Sale from sd RICHARD COOPER unto the said WILLIAM COOPER containing fifty acers which will more plaine appear on record which sd land with houses Orchards and all other things thereon being and every part To Have and To Hold unto the aforesd JAMES TURNER his heirs and assigns for the term of one whole year from thence next till the term be compleated to the end that by Virtue thereof and of the Statute for transferring uses into possession that the sd JAMES TURNER may be in actual possession of the premises and may be enabled to take and accept of a grant Release of the same
Now This Indenture Witnesseth that the sd WILLIAM COOPER for the sum of Ten pounds good and lawfull mony of Virginia doth hereby confirm unto the sd JAMES TURNER his heirs and assigns the aforemenconed tract of land & premises and all the right to hold to him the sd JAMES TURNER his heirs and assigns forever, In Witness whereof the sd partise have set their hands and seals

At a Court held for Essex County on ye XIXth day of June MDCCXXXI
ELIZABETH COOPER the Wife of the within named WILLIAM COOPER came into Court and freely relinquished her right of dower of and in the land conveyed by this Deed from the sd WILLIAM COOPER to the within named JAMES TURNER, which on his motion is recorded (on margin )
