Apr 23, 1753 from Mary Brant (Brandt) of CC, widow and relict of Jacob Brant of CC, decd, to Alason Ford of CC, cordwainer, for the yearly rent and conditions hereafter expressed, the lease of a tract of land in Pamonkey Neck in CC, which of late belonged to afd Jacob Brandt decd and now to the afd Mary, as his receipt [relict?], and natural guardian to Charles, son and heir of the afd Jacob, commonly called Greenage, containing and now laid out for about 83 acres. To have and to hold to sd Ford, after next Jan 1, during the term of 12 years. The yearly rent is 950 lbs of tobacco clear of cask in 1 hogshead and 3 shillings and 10 pence sterling. Ford may cut down and use any of the wood or timber on sd land towards the repairing or building of any of the houses now on the premises, or hereafter to be built, as well as rails for sd plantation's use and hogsheads for the tobacco made thereon, and to no other purpose. A bargain, made and agreed upon this Feb 14, 1763 between Allason Ford of the one part, and Notley Ford of the other part, witnesses that, whereas their father did, sometime before his death, make his will, and by his will gave sd Allason Ford a Negro woman called Peg, and gave to sd Notley Ford a Negro woman called Nan, but on his death bed, he called his 2 sons, Allason Notley, and told them that his desire was that his son Allason should have the Negro woman called Nan, and his son Notley should have the Negro woman called Peg.
