=== from this record, it appears the widow of William Houston was Judith Catlett. however, no Judith is mentioned as a daughter in Lawrence Catlett's will. This leads me to believe she married 2nd to Maj, Frederick Zimmerman in 1785 and was the d/o Andrew Bourne

1775-1803 British Mercantile Claims
Claim of Geo: McCall & Company [Page 91-92]:
William Houston, Spotsylvania. He inherited a handsome fortune from his father before the war which, as it
was acquired without any exertions of his own, was soon spent by dissipation and idleness. During the war he became quite insolvent. In one of his scenes of intoxication, for which he was very remarkable, he enlisted as a soldier in the American army and after serving some time in that character, he died. It was generally asserted and believed that reflections on his past conduct caused him to commit suicide, his death being very sudden. He left a widow but no child. From his death until some time since the peace his widow lived with her connections (chiefly with Major Reuben Zimmerman of Culpeper who married her sister) and drew all her subsistence from their liberality and a consideration which she received from a relinquishment of her right of dower in some lots in Fredericksburg sold by her husband during the coverture to which she had not previously relinquished that right in the manner prescribed by law.
