      pg. 155-156. Edmund Rigg of FC, recorded lease 3 April 1750, made 29 Nov. 1749 between Lucy Brooke of
      PGC, widow, for rents and services herein mentioned lets a messuage, tenement and tract of land, being part of a large tract called "Dann" in FC, M&B given, adjacent to parcels belonging to Mr. Charles Brooke, containing 100 acres more or less, for the natural lives of the said Edmund Rigg, and the life of Mary his wife, and James his son, to them, yielding or paying every year to Lucy Brooke, 700 pounds of tobacco, at the next convenient warehouse, and 5 shillings sterling money, and they covenant to build on the leased premises one dwelling house, one milk house and one tobacco house, and to plant 250 apple trees within 3 years from these presents, and to keep them fenced, and he agrees not to make any use of the timber on the premises but for the use of the plantation. Signed Lucy Brooke in the presence of John Hepburn, and R'd Brooke.
