Indenture made December 26, 1749; Thomas Waring, planter for diverse good causes and considerations him moving has given unto Martha Hooper all and singular his goods chattels implements household stuffs wares and personal stuff in trust that Martha Hooper shall permit him during his life to hold and enjoy the same and the issues and profits thereof to his own use and after his decease she shall deliver up the same to her mother Mary Waring except one cow and calf and one feather bed and furniture which shall be for her. This Indenture Tripartite made this 17th Day of April
in the Year of our Lord one thousand Seven hundred and Sixty Between
John Ward of Ann Arundel County Gentleman on the first part Charles Boteler
of Prince Georges County ^son^ of Henry Planter on the Second Part and Charles
Boteler jun.r of Prince Georges County Planter Second son of the said Charles
Boteler son of Henry on the third part Whereas it was Covenanted and
Agreed by and between the said Charles Boteler son of Henry and Charles
Boteler jun.r that the said Charles Boteler son of Henry for Docking and
Bar^r^ing all Estates tail of him the said Charles Boteler son fo Henry in and to
the Tract or Parcel of Land with the Appurtenances herein after mentioned and
Limiting and Settling the Use in fee simple in the said Charles Boteler
jun.r should permit and Suffer a Common Recovery to be had against him the Said Charles Boteler the Son of Henry of and in the said Land and for the
Purpose a Common Recovery in which the said John Ward was Demandant at
a Provincial Court held at the City of Annapolis in April Term in the Year of our
Lord Seventeen hundred and Sixty was had and Suffered as by the Records of
the said Court may appear This Indenture Witnesseth That He the said
Charles Boteler Son of Henry and John Ward and each of them for and in consideration
of the Premisses and for and in consideration of the sum of five shillings
sterling by the said Charles Boteler Jun.r in Hand paid to the said Charles
Boteler son of Henry and John Ward respectively at or before the ensealing
and Delivery of these Presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have
and hath granted Bargained and Sold given and Confirmed and by these
Presents do and Doth give grant bargain Sell and Confirm unto the said
Charles Boteler Jun.r All that Tract or Parcel of Land with the appurtenances
Lying in Prince Georges County called Wilsons Adventure containing and
laid out for one hundred and twenty nine acres as by the Patent thereof
may appear be the same more or less To have and to Hold all and
Singular the Premisses and all the right Title Interest and Estate of the
said Grantors and Bargainers and each of them to the said Charles
Boteler Jun.r and his Heirs and Assigns forever to and for his and
their proper Use and Behoof and none other use intent or purpose
whatsoever In Witness whereof the Parties aforesaid have hereunto
affixed their Hands and Seals the Day and Year first above written

Memorandum that on the special petition of Thomas Boteler preferred to the justices of Prince George's County, Maryland on the 4th Tuesday in November in the 21th year of our Dominion and so forth for a land commission which was issued on January 2, 1772, in these words, to wit, Prince George's County Court, Maryland Frederick Absolute Lord and Proprietary of the Province of Maryland and Avalon Lord Baron of Baltimore and so forth; to Messrs William Newman Dorsett, John Dorsett, Trueman Skinner and Levin Covington of PGCo Gentleman, whereas Thomas Boteler is seized of two tracts called "Londonderry" and "Renchers Adventure" and preferred his petition in writing to our county court held at Upper Marlborough Town for a commission to examine evidence to prove and perpetuate the memory of the bounds of the said tracts of land. Therefore, we command you any three or two of you to examine all witnesses or persons concerned touching their knowledge of the bounds of the said tracts. We the subscribers commissioners appointed by PGCo court to examine evidences to prove the bounds of to prove the bounds of "Londonderry" and "Renchers Adventure" we intend to meet on June 8th next. Witness our hands and seals this April 24, 1772, Levin Covington, Trueman Skinner
James Watson, Sr. aged 77 years standing at a stone near a small gum tree deposeth that went with him to Thomas Tucker to get him to show them the bounded tree of "Londonderry" and the said Tucker showed them a stump where they now stand and said it was a boundary of "Londonderry" and they begun there to run out the land for Thomas Lawson.
Charles Boteler, Sr. aged about 70 years at the same place deposeth that Roger John Sawser and Thomas Tucker proved the place where he now stands to be the beginning of "Londonderry" and "Renchers Adventure".
Thomas Tucker, Sr. aged 60 years at the same place deposeth that his father Thomas Tucker proved part of a stump at the place he now stands to be the beginning of Londonderry.
David Davis, Sr. aged about 60 at the same place deposeth that he applied to Roger John Sawser because he wanted to know where the beginning tree of Londonderry stood in the said Sawser came to this place where he now stands and look for the tree but could not find it. This deponent then going to another boundary it being a small stone at a place known by the name of 'The Pond' deposeth that he told Roger John Sawser that he knew the bound tree of Londonderry that it stood in the pond and Sawser told him there was a bound tree of "The Forrest" stood in the pond and and this deponent told him he did not believe it. Sometimes after this deponent told his uncle John Davis' wife what Roger John Sawser had told him and she said there is as a bound tree of the "The Forrest" stood in the pond and that her father William Cater told her of it.
