I too am doing the Sothoron line. My husband is a direct descendant of HG Sothoron and his daughter Eleanor Sothoron who married Henry Gardiner.
I have been working with Linda Reno in St. Mary's County and I show that HG Sothoron's father was John Johnson Sothoron and Mary Anne Jowles. I have been to the Plains Cemetery.

I show that HG Sothoron married two Mary Bonds - the mother of Eleanor was Mary Margaret Bond. If you are interested, I have the names of their children. I believe that Mary Bond (his first wife) was the mother of Rebecca Jowes Sothoron.

Look forward to hearing from you. Ellen Croll. EPCroll@aol.com 7/24/04
