KNOW ALL MEN that I FRANCIS STAFFORD of the County of Rappa. for the sum of Two thousand pounds of Tobacco and cask to me paid by DAVID SALSBURY and RICHARD JOHNSON have sould unto the said DAVID SALSBURY and RICHARD JOHNSTON their heirs and assignes forever one hundred and fifty acres of land lying on the South side of the River bounding upon the land of RICHARD SPURLING where he now liveth wch said land being purchased by me the said STAFFORD of HENRY WOODNUTT as by conveyance upon Record bearing date the 18th day of December 1671 may appeare it being part of a Pattent of Nine hundred twenty acres of land taken up by THOMAS HARWAR and NICHOLAS COX to have and to hold the said one hundred and fifty acres of land unto the said DAVIS SALSBURY and RICHARD JOHNSON their heirs and assigns that they may lawfully hold and enjoy the aforesaid land with warranty from me my heirs and assigns and from all other persons pretending any claime to the said land.
