      I give and bequeath unto my Sonne, RICHARD, all my tract of land wch: I now live on with the howses orchard & all things thereunto belonging to him and his heirs forever

      To Elizabeth West eldest daughter of Richard West one cow with her increase called Starr. To Mary Noell eldest daughter of Cornelius Noell one cow and her increase called Violett. To my grandchild Samuel Allen my plantation and land belonging to it well I formerly lived upon to him and his heirs forever. To my son Valentine Allen 200 acres of land where he now lives to him and his heirs forever. To William Hodges children 300 acres of land being part of a devident where my sonn Allen now lives to be equally divided between them and their heirs forever.       EVANS, JOHN, of Sittingburne Parish in the County of Rappa. 29 January, 1683; 1 die 8bris, 1684.
      All the land I am possessed of to my two sons John Evans and Wm. Evans to be equally divided between them both for quantity and quality the division to be made when my son John is twenty one but in case the one shall decease before his full age the other shall succeed to his inherititnce. To each of my children a mare and all their increase the youngest mare to my son John the other to my son William also to each of them a cow and its increase my son John to have a cowe called Mealy Nose William to have a black cow called Slow. Desires his children shall stay and live with their mother until they each of them attain the age of nineteen years. To father-in-law Mr. Wm Veale a case of pistols and holsters. To my loving brother Martin Johnson a chest which I had of him also a gun I had of him and a Caster hat. To my Godchild Margaret Ward daughter of Bryant Ward a cowe calf. RIVER now know ye Whereas the sd 444 acres of land as aforesd being in Jointennancy between us & we by Joint consent intending to divide the same premises between us for the use of our several! heirs &c.       KNOW ALL MEN by these presents that I JOHN BURKETT of the Parish of Sittingbourne in the County of Rappa for the Valluable consideracon of two thousand foure hundred pounds of good sound Merchantable Tobo and caske already received have bargained & sould all my right Title and Interrest of the one halfe or moyety of two hundred eighty and Five acres of Woodland from me the sd Jno Burkett unto NICH: BURT of the County aforesd and his heires for Ever which sd Land I the sd Burkett formerly purchased of RICHARD WEST & is pattented in the said WEST & ROGER CLOTWORTHYs names bearing date the 28:th of July 1663 and confirmed to me by convayance from the sd West and since accknowledged to me by the sd West and recorded the tenth day of January Anno 1664 and hath bin formerly divided betweene me and the sd West as followeth Vizt by a Lyne of marked Trees begining at a red oake standing neare the ground of Roger Clotworthy & so across the aforesd land the Easter- most parte of the wch said land adjoyning to a branch called Popomans Branch I the sd jno. Burkett doe sell and make over as aforesd etc the sd Nicholas Burt paying and discharging all such Rents wch of right are due and by Custome are required unto the truth of wch I have hereunto Interchangeably undersett my hand & seale this 5th day of 8br 1666.

      WHEREAS we THOMAS PAIGE and RICHARD WEST both of the Parish of Sittingbourne in the County of Rappa and Virga are possessed of a certaine Pattent cont. 300 acres of land scituate lying and being in the Parish and County aforesd on the South side of Rappa River NOW KNOW YEE that whereas the Eastermost Moyety or halfe of the aforesd Six hundred acres of land being in Joynt Tennancey betweene us and we by Joynt Consent intending to divide the premises between us and to the uses our severall heires These therefore WITTNESSETH that I Thomas Paige doe for me my heirs bargaine and sell unto the sd Richard West his heires and Assignes the one halfe or moyety of the sd three hundred acres of land being by joynt consent divided by us and bounded as here is menconed begining at a marked red oake by the River the
      Corner tree of the dividing line between MARTYN JOHNSON and me the said Thomas Paige coming up by the North side of a Branch to a marked white oake by the Peach orchard and thence running across the aforesd three hundred acres of land to a white oake on the South side of a Huckleburry Swampe and so South into the woods by a lyne of marked trees to a red oake joyning to Mr. WM FOGGs Path and from thence along the Path to a marked red oake near the Miles End and soe to the Miles End as the said Path runneth the cry Richard West to Have and to Hold the Eastermost moyety or halfe of the sd three hundred acres of land being one hundred and fifty acres more or less with all manner of houses and halfe of the Peach Orchard wth all gardens and other appurtenances and privilidges as is to me granted to him the sd Richard West his heires and further the said Thomas Paige and ELIZA. his Wife doe for us our heires or assignes covenant and grant to the said Richard West his heires that the said Richa.
