      IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN I HENRY TANDY of the Parish of Southfarnham and County of Essex being sick and weak but of sound and perfect sence and memory thanks be to Almighty God do make and ordain this to be my Last Will and Testament of wch it path pleased Almighty God to bestow upon me I give and dispose thereof as foloweth ITEM I give unto my Daughter ANN WALLER a Negro boy named Essex besides what she has in her possession to her and her heirs for Ever.
      ITEM I give unto my Granson WILLIAM WALLER a Negro gear! named Judy hur and hur increase to him and his heirs forever.
      ITEM I give unto my Daughter MARTHA TANDY a Negro man named Bristo and a Negro gear! named Kate and a Negro boy named Guy they and their increase to her and her heirs forever, Item I give unto my Daughter FRANCES TANDY a Negro man named Dick a Negro gearl named Sillis a Negro gearl Hannah a boy named Robin they and their increase to her & her heirs forever.
      ITEM I give unto my Son SILVANUS TANDY a Negro man named Sambo and a Negro women named Judy and a Negro boy named Sam they and their increase to him and his heirs forever and all my land that formerly was my Fathers and one hundred acres of land I bought of HENRY PAGETT begining at a Great Gulley Joyning to my line runing thence to BEVERLEYs line thence up GUFFIES SPRING BRANCH to a stooping white oak thence crossing a corner of ye sd PAGETs Orchard to an old Spring thence down the branch to the Tobo, House Swamp this devision to stand between the said HENRY PAGET and my Son SILVANUS TANDY.
      ITEM I give unto my three children MARTHA, SILVANUS and FRANCES TANDY after my Debts and funeral charges paid all the rest of my Estate to be equally divided between them in Specis as they be the Eldest to have the first choice and so on and I constitute and appoint my Son SILVANUS TANDY and my Son in Law EDWARD WALLER to be my Executors as Witness my hand and Seal this 2d day of September 1741

      This Last Will and Testament of HENRY TANDY deced was presented by both the Exrs therein named who made oath thereto and being further proved by the oath of all the witnesses thereto was ordered to be recorded

      HENRY CRITTENDEN Guardian to MARTHA TANDY had the first choice being Eldest as followeth . . items listed and valued to total £41..17..2 1/4 (some items being) 7 sheep, nine hoggs; 1 chesnut cullored horse; cattle, furniture, beds, a square looking glass; a parcel of pewter, an old gunn; 1/3 part of the wheat; (£2..7..10 1/2 in cash); SILVANUS TANDY had his choice next Eldest as followeth .. items listed and valued to total £41 .17. 1 3/4
      EDWARD WALLER Guardian to FRANCES TANDY had the last choice being youngest .. items listed and valued total £41..7..1 3/4 .. (Items of Silvanus and Frances similar to those of Martha).
      IN IN OBEDIENCE to an order of Essex County Court We the Subscribers being appointed to divide the Estate of HENRY TANDY deceased according to his last Will and Testament which is as above excepting the Negro's which is divided by Will. Given under our hands this 19th day of April 1742.
