628-629. Elihew Hickman recorded 17 March 1772, made 16 March between Margt Hickman, who
has granted unto the aforesaid Elihew Hickman, her son, the following goods and chattels for diverse
good causes and consideration, especially that ofnatural love and affection, and the sum of5 shillings,
tract of land called Jno Delight, containing 200 acres, which she bought of Jos Harris, which she
conveys to her son, excepting the time or term ofher natural life, and also gives to him, one Negro
girl named Jane about 4 years of age; one bay mare, one good feather bed and furniture, one pewter
dish, two pewter basins, one dozen pewter plates, halfa dozen pewter spoons, one desk and a riffle
gun, all and singular goods and chattels ofthe said Margaret; but in case the said Elihew Hickman
should die before he arrives to the age of 21 years without having any heirs, or after the 21 years
without a will, and not having any heirs ofhis own body, in such case, Margaret Hickman do give the
aforesaid lands unto Delithe Hickman her daughter. Signed Margaret Hickman by mark beforeWm
Luckett, Ens Campbell. Receipt. Acknowledgment, 16 March 1772, Mrs. Margaaret Hickman,
widow ofJoshua Hickman, made acknowledgment of deed.

629-630. Delithe Hickman recorded 17 March 1772, made 16 March between Margaret Hickman,
widow ofJoshua Hickman, for diverse good causes and considerations, and especially for the Natural love and affection which she bears unto her daughter, and for 5 shillings, she assigns one Negro girl
named Winn, about 12 years ofage; one bay mare, black faced, blind in one eye; one side saddle, one
feather bed and furniture, one chest of drawers, one pewter dish, two pewter basins, one dozen
pewter plates, and half dozen pewter spoons, one iron pot that will hold about 5 gallons, al1 goods
and chattels ofthe said Margaret Chattel, and for her use until the aforesaid Delithe Hickman arrives
at the age of 18 years or the day ofmarriage. If she should die before she is married the property to
