Indenture made September 11, 1815; Samuel Smoot and Lydia Smoot his wife, Edward Tabb and Lettice Tabb his wife, Ann Gill and Erasmus Gill of Mason County, Kentucky in consideration of $266. 66 paid by Mary Johnson of CC has sold in fee simple as a legal heirs of Robert Gill deceased part of a tracts called "Foxes Race" standing on Fellpails Branch and containing 165 acres; and "Weebit" containing 15 acres. Signed Samuel Smoot, Lydia Smoot, Edward Tabb, Lettice Tabb, Ann Gill, Erasmus Gill. Attested before Marshall Key, James A. Paxton, JP's of Mason County, Kentucky and at the same time Lydia Smoot and Lettice Tabb relinquished her right of dower. Certified by Thomas T. Worthington presiding justice of the County Court of said County on September 12, 1815
