IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN, I, JAMES McCONAHUE being in perfect memory and senses do make this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following
Viz. that is to say that after my Just debts are paid and my Loving wife has her full thirds of my Estate. that my Five children JOHN McCONAHUE,
JAMES McCONAHUE, SAMUEL McCONAHUE, JANE McCONAHUE. MARGARET McCONAHUE shall have an equal share of all my Estate so soon as Each child comes of Age. and it shall remain in her hands until such time. and to receive their proportion at such time. and they are to be maintained with her from their proportions until they come of age. my meaning is that so soon as the first child comes of age that he shall receive his proportion and in the same manner with the rest and after the Death of my Wife MARY McCONAHUE the thirds to be equally divided between my Five children. and its my will and desire that my Wife Mary McConabue be my Sole Executrix to this my last Will and Testament whereunto I Witness my hand and Seal this twenty second day of October One thousand seven hundred and seventy eight.

At a Court held for Loudoun County March the 8th 1779
This Will was proved by the Oaths of John Swart. Nathan Cochran and John McFarland Witnesses thereto and ordered to be recorded and on the motion of Mary McConahue the Executrix therein named who made Oath according to Law. Certificate is granted her for obtaining a Probate thereof in due form she giving Security. Whereupon the said Mary McConahue with WILLIAM SMITH, JOHN McFARLAND & JOHN SWART her Securities entered into and acknowledged their Bond in the Penalty of Fifteen hundred pounds Conditioned as the Law directs.
