Edward F. Neale, Will (copy), April 7, 1839; May 4, 1839
I, Edward F. Neale, late of CC now residing in the city of Washington, in the District of Columbia, being of sound and disposing mind and memory but sick and weak in body;
To sisters Priscilla Neale and Elizabeth Brent wife of Colonel William Brent of Washington City, all my estate real personal and mixed on condition that they shall take care and provide for my brother Leonard Neale, presently in the city of Baltimore during his natural life.
Item I do direct that the portion of my estate bequeath to my sister Elizabeth Brent shall be held in trust for her use during her lifetime, and after her death by her last will and testament to my friends James H. Neale and James R. Brent of Charles County Maryland.
Further, in full consideration of all claims whatsoever which my sister Priscilla Neale may have against me, and in in full discharge of the same, I give and bequeath 1,000 dollars, before the division of my estate.
Item: I also direct to purchase for my niece Emily Brent daughter of my sister Elizabeth Brent, a gold watch not to exceed 100 dollars.
