      At the request of Timothy Carrington the following Bill of Sale was recorded August 25, 1806
      whereas I Daniel Carrington all and stands justly indebted to Timothy Carrington in the sum of $100 and any further on ascertained sum due from me to the said Timothy Carrington and respecting my mother's estate and whereas the said Timothy Carrington at my request has entered into a bond conditioned for the faithful performance of my duty as Constable and for Charles County aforesaid and has also entered into recognizance to the State of Maryland conditioned that I shall indemnify Charles County for any expense relating to an illegitimate child which Lucy Robey has charged me with being the father of and whereas the said Timothy Carrington also stands bound by the judgment of Charles County to pay for me a large quantity of tobacco was certain costs of suit to a certain Samuel Hanson and I am desirous to secure the said Timothy Carrington the payment of the said sums of money and to indemnify and save him harmless from any loss arising from his executing the said bond and entering into the said recognizance and from the judgment so as aforesaid rendered in favor the said Samuel Hanson. Now know by these presents that I Daniel Carrington in consideration of the premises and for the sum of 10 pounds paid by Timothy Carrington have sold and delivered into his possession negroes Harry (22 yrs.) And Rachel (8 yrs.) And 3 head of horses. Provided that I Daniel Carrington shall well and truly pay unto the said Timothy Carrington the said sum of money and save him harmless and indemnified as relating to the said bond and the said recognizance and the said judgment that everything in this condition shall cease and be void.In witness I have hereunto set my hand and seal this August 25, 1806, Daniel Carrington, in the presence of and acknowledged before Gerrard Briscoe
