I Benedict J. Montgomery, being weak in body, but in perfect mind and memory;
Item, 2/3 of my estate to be equally divided between friend Augustine Montgomery and my sister Teresa Montgomery. The balance of my estate and wearing apparel to my two brothers Thomas & Michael Montgomery.

Thomas Montgomery, Will, April 2, 1800; November 15, 1800
I, Thomas Montgomery of CC being sick and weak of body but of sound and perfect memory
To children, Rachel Montgomery, Benedict J Montgomery, Teresa, Montgomery, Thomas Montgomery, Michael Montgomery, Mary Montgomery, all the land that I have, houses, orchards, woods and all improvements between my six children when my youngest son is 21 yrs. Also, negro Joseph.
To daughter Rachel Montgomery, one feather bead and furniture, one lume {sic} {loom}, one slay [sic}, one saddle and bridle, one small chest, one heifer.
To son Benedict J. Montgomery, one feather bead and furniture, one horse, saddle and bridle, and one cow at age 18 yrs.
To daughter Teresa Montgomery, one feather bead and furniture, one cow and calf, and one saddle and bridle at age 16 yrs.
To son Thomas Montgomery, one feather bead and furniture, one horse, saddle and bridle, and one cow at age 18 yrs.
To son Michael Montgomery, one feather bead and furniture, one horse, saddle and bridle, and one cow at age 18 yrs.
To daughter Mary Montgomery, one feather bead and furniture, one chest, saddle and bridle, and one cow and calf at age 16 yrs.
My will is that Thomas and Michael must have as good learning as Benedict J. had, Mary as good as Rachel and Teresa had, and that their schooling and maintainance must be paid for out of the labor of the negroes and the produce of the land, I leave negro Cate to be sold and the money to be put to the use of raising of my daughter Mary, or if she behaves herself, and it not sold, I give her to my daughter Mary.
To my six children, all the remainder of my estate as stock, household and Kitchen furniture and plantation tools when Michael is 21 yrs old. I leave my children in care of my daughter Rachel
