      On Feb 27, 1779, Letters of administration were granted on the estate of Matthew Rigg to Susanah Rigg, his widow, and her bond was taken with her securities, Peter Phernandis and Joseph Mannen of CC, in the sum of 2000 £Appraisers: Morris James McDonnough and Ignatius Sympson. On July 31, 1779, the inventory was received, appraised to 159 £5 shillings 9 pence,

      An inventory of the goods and chattels of Mathew Rigg, late of CC, decd, appraised on Apr 11, 1779. Inventory includes: Negro boy John (age 8), Negro Mary (age 9); 1 bed and furniture, 1 old bed; 5 horses, 10 cattle, 26 sheep. Total: 159 £5 shillings 9 pence, Signed - Morris Jas McDonough, Ignatious Simpson.

      To son Gerrard Riggs as much of my thirds of my late husband's estate that will make the sum due him equal with the rest of my three children, Anne Tiar, Elizabeth Tiar and Jean Tiar estate left by their fathers Charles Tiar and the balance to be equally divided amongst my four children.
