      The last will and Testament of Clement Thresh being in full sense and memory Imprimis I give my body to the earth and my soul to God almighty who I hope is my redeemer
      Secondly I give unto my daughter-in-law Ann Harris three years Schooling out of my Estate to go Mrs. Peacock to school and if it please God that Mrs. Peacock do dye th Tho : Goodrichs Children where they do go and that the said Ann Harris is to remaine with Thomas Goodrich and when she comes to thirteen years of age to have half of the male cattle and if likewise any Lam doth happen unto her I do Desire it may be paid out of my Estate
      Thirdly I give unto my daughter ffrances Thresh all my estate my debts being paid in the first place and ffraight being made good being 30 hogsheads my desire is that my servants may remaine upon the plantacon and a carefull man may be upon the ground I give unto my Godchild Benja.       THIS INDENTURE made this third day of February in the year One thousand Six hundred Sixty & three Between THOMAS GOODRICH of the County of Rappa. Esqr. of one part & JUNIFER PLOWER of SHADWELL in the County of MIDDLESEX in the Realm of England Marriner of other part Whereas BARTHOLOMEW HOPKINS of ELIZA. RIVER in the County of LOWER NORFFS. in Virga. Planter by his Deed Poll dated the Thirteenth day of October in the year One thousand Six hundred Fifty & five for the consideracon expressed did sell unto JOHN GREEN late of CHUCKATUCK in the County of UPR, NORFFS. in Virga. Merchant & his heirs for ever Six hundred acres of land being on the South side of RAPPA. RIVER which sd land was part of thirteen hundred & fifty acres granted by Sr. WILLIAM BERKLEY Ent. Governour then of Virga. unto the sd HOPKINS by Pattent of the sd granted doth appear & for bounds the sd Six hundred acres of land hegineth at a Stake standing in the Marsh of a small Creek called by the name of TIGNERS CREEK extending up the sd RAPPA. RIVER for the full breadth of the aforesd Six hundred acres of land North West from the utmost extent of the sd breadth So. RIVER on the part of the South begining at a Creek called TIGNELLS CREEK & so extending up the side of the sd River for the breadth thereof abbutting upon the land of the late CLEMENT THRUSH deced which sd premises the sd JOHN GREEN purchased of BARTHOLOMEW HOPKINS of ELIZA. RIVER in the County of LOWER NORFFS. in Virga. as aforesaid deced as in & by the sd Articles of Agreemt. more at large appeareth & Whereas the sd JOHN GREEN by his Letter of Attorney bearing date the (blank) day of July in the fourteenth year of the Reign of CHARLES the Second 1662 did constitute appoint & sett his trusty & well beloved Friends Coll. JOHN CARTER & the sd Majr. THOMAS GOODRICH party to these presents his true & lawfull Attorneys jointly & severally (missing) his name place & stead to assigne unto the sd JUNIFER PLOWER his heirs & assignee the Six hundred acres of land with the appurtenances lying in abbutting upon RAPPA RIVER on the part of the South which he lately purchased of BARTHOLOMEW HOPKINS of ELIZA. River wch said land was parte of thirteene hundred and fifty acres given and granted by Sr WM. Greene his heires for Ever as in and by the sd Recited Deed Poll more at large appeareth and whereas the said John Greene by certaine articles of Agreemt. Indented and dated the last day of July in the Fourteenth yeare of the Reigne of our Soveraigne Lord Charles the second by the grace of God ling of England etc made betweene the sd John Greene of their part and the said Junifer Plover of the other parte for the consideracon of the sume of five thousand pounds waight of good sound well condiconed sweet sented Virga Tobo bundled in Leafe and in good caske and to be cleare of ground leaves to be delivered Fraight free to the sd Jno Green his heires or assignes at Chesters Key in Londo: in the Realme of England at or before the last of July wch should be in the yeare of our Lord 1663 did bargaine and sell unto the said Junifer Plover his heires for Ever six hundred acres of land wth the appurtenances lying in Virga: aforesaid abutting uppon Rappa River on the part of the South begining at a Creeke called Joyners Creeke and so extending up the side of the sd River for the breadth thereof & abutting uppon the lands late CLEMENT THRUSH deced wch said premises the said Jno. Junifer Plover and his heires and doe desire the said Instrumt: may be recorded inthe County Court of Rappa.
