      On Jun 14, 1777, Letters of Administration were granted to Daniel Jenifer for the estate of James Seaward, he being the greatest creditor applying, and sd Jenifer's bond, with his securities, Robert Mundell and John Craig, was taken in the sum of 300 £. Appraisers: William Hanson and Raphael Neale.
      On Oct 14, 1777, the inventory was
      received, appraised at 92 £13 shillings and 4 pence.

      The account of Daniel Jenifer, Esc, admor of James Seaward, late of CC, decd.
      Debts include: the inventory of the decd's estate, exhibited into Orphan Court on Oct 14, 1779, appraised to 92 £13 shillings 4 pence. Total: 115 £16 shillings 8 pence.
      Disbursements went to: Walter Hanson, Deputy Commissary; Francis Dixon; James Thompson; George Adams; Doctor Joseph Adderton; Andrew Miller; Richard Gambra; William Smallwood; this accountant for rent; Ignatius Lucket for attendance on the corpse of the decd, his wife, and child, all being found dead and the house burned; Bennet Mitchel; Rachael Furry; Charles Scott for attending on the dead persons above mentioned; John Sanders, coroner, for 3 inquisitions; Anthony Billing; Walter Hanson for rent and for recording this inventory; Patrick Hambleton.

      The account of Henry Smith and Dorothy Boarman, formerly Dorothy Smith, surviving executors of Basil Smith, late of CC deceased, viz
      Debts include: the inventory of sd deceased's estate, exhibited into the Prerogative office on March 21, 1775, amounting to 1337 £16 shillings 2 pence; a crop of tobacco made on the deceased's plantation the year he died, inspected in 1775; corn, wheat, rice, oats, peas, beans; money received of Benjamin Smith, William Boarman; money in the hands of Barnes and Ridgate; money received of James Seaward; tobacco now in the hands of William Oard; with ditto now in the hands of John Smallwood. The accountants desire no allowance, To be disposed of according to the deceased's will: 2724 £18 shillings 7 pence.
      Final account: 2724 £18 shillings 7 pence.
