Indenture made May 22, 1772; Henry Rozer, Daniel Carroll and Notley Young, Gentleman, trustees of Charles Carroll, Esq. for the purpose of erecting a Town called Carrollsburgh on Potomack River in consideration of 6 pounds sterling money paid by Edward Parkinson on the Eastern Shore in Talbot County, Maryland has sold "Lot Number 132" which he drew in a lottery. Dyar, son of Edward, in consideration of a bill ofexchange for £20 sterling, and further consideration
of£4.9.4 sell to William Deakins Junr. of Georgetown, one female Negro slave named Rebeccah, and
her increase to the said Edward Parkinson and William Deakins Junr., signed 9 May 1770. Thomas

Edward Parkinson recorded 23 January 1772, made 17 August 1771 between Charles Beatty of Frederick County and George Fraser Hawkins of Prince George's County, for £6 sterling, sells lot in Addition to Georgetown on tract Knave's Disappointment, Number 134. He is to pay yearly annual rent of one penny sterling on 1st February. Signed Chs Beatty, Geo. Frazer Hawkins before Charles Jones, Andrew Heugh. Receipt. Acknowledgment. Susana Truman wife to George Fraser Hawkins released dower before Dan of St. Thos Jenifer. Martha wife to Charles Beatty released dower before Thos Price, Ens Campbell. Alienation fine paid.
