      recently located information verifies the surname is actually Boice (Boyce, Bois, Dubois are other variations)

      Mary Boice married Regnal Hillery on 9 Dec. 1780 in New York, where he was a prisoner during the Rev. War.

      I Alexander Crawford, planter in consideration of my son James Crawford this day joined me in a deed of conveyance and general warranty to Mrs. Mary Hilleary, widow of Rignall Hilleary for part of "Grove Hurst" and part of "Gittings Park" 85 1/8 acres and part of "Wallingsfords Purchase" 40 acres, containing in the whole 128 1/8 acres as run out by Mr. John Beall and for the further 5 shillings sterling paid by James Crawford has confimed unto him Negroes Bob (10 years) and Byna (6 months) both children of Lucy. In witness whereof I have set my hand and seal this May 19, 1791, Alexander Crawford in the presence of Richard T. Lowndes, Erasmus Gantt

      Indenture made May 19, 1791; Alexander Crawford and James Crawford his son, planters in consideration of 218 pounds 19 shillings and 4 pence half penny specie current money of Maryland paid by Mary Hilleary widow of Rignall Hilleary have sold parts of tracts lying about 5 miles easterly from Bladensburgh bequeathed by the late James Crawford in his will to Alexander Crawford and Elizabeth Crawford his wife, now deceased during their lives then then to their son James Crawford; and agreeable to the lines and boundaries directed in said will the lands have been run out by John Beall, Esr., near Bladensburgh mutually choosen by the parties, to wit, part of "Grove Hurst" and part of "Gittings Park" containing 85 1/8 acres; part of "Wallingsford Purchase" containing 40 acres being part of "Bealls Purchase" and containing in the whole 125 1/8 acres.
