      Henry Aspinall and Mary Pake, his eldest daughter, gives 300 acres of land
      known as St. Lawrence's Neck provided that if Mary should die issueless,
      then the said 300 acres shall be to the only use and property of the said
      Aspinall during his natural life, and then to revert to Walter Pakes. Wit.:

Whereas sd George Mason is now in possession of 3 tracts of land containing about 500 acres in CC _ Potomack River in 3 patents, viz, 300 acres called _nidicts, granted to Bennett Marchegay by patent dated Sep _, 1666, and 150 acres patented to Henry Aspinall by patent dated Apr 30, 166_, and _ acres called Fletchers Addition, granted to Henry Fletcher on Jun 10, 1671. The 3 tracts of land were conveyed by the afd Edward [Rook]wood, father to William Rookward, party to these presents, unto Ge__ _n of Stafford County, [Virginia], decd, grandfather to the before mentioned George _on, party to these presents, for _ thousands # of tobacco, by deed dated May 1, _. Sd George Mason, the grandfather, entered into _n of the sd lands under the sd purchase, & died seized thereof. Sd Mason also died seized of sd lands, which descended to his eldest son & heir at law, the sd George Mason.. these presents who is now in actual possession of the same, so that possession of the lands has remained sd [Ma]son's family ever since the sd purchase from sd Edward, but by some defect in sd deed, it is apprehended some disputes may arise, touching upon the premises, which sd William Rookwood, for the valuable consideration paid to his father, is willing.. Now this deed witnesses that sd William Rookw__ quitclaims to sd George Mason, in his possession now being, sd William's right to the three tracts of land, situated upon Potomack River in CC, containing about 500 acres, according to the original patents.
